I have a complaint for SVU.
So per usual I’m napping to law and order svu with Tucker this afternoon, and I have a bone to pick.
It started out as a great who dunnit, 15 year olds making out in the park late at night when a dog jumps out of the bushes to warn them that his mama is in trouble, leads them to her and she dies in their arms while they’re on the phone with 911.
Great first scene, but then after the break Stabler’s investigating the dead girl’s apartment and what do ya know, enter Bob Saget. It’s great to see big names and all, but Bob Saget’s not going to be an extra in law and order. Obviously he’s the perp or closely involved somehow. How twisty can it get when you know a key player 5 minutes in?!?
My story telling attempts in social situations generally end up in some unforeseen interruption, someone talking louder than me, or everyone losing interest altogether. The point is that everyone gets excited when the topic of conversation veers toward a subject for which you just happen to have the perfect input. Now picture spending most of your 25 years plagued with that pent up excitement and gun shy attitude toward any story-telling opportunity. The feeling you should be imagining explains most of my awkwardness, some of my spastic expressive nature, and all of why I hope this blog can finally free my inner storyteller.
